The parish of Uley with Owlpen and Nympsfield includes three churches, St Giles in Uley, Holy Cross in Owlpen and St Bartholomews in Nympsfield. They are pretty village churches well worth a visit. We are part of the Ewelme Benefice which also includes St James the Great in Dursley but are still a separate parish with our own responsibilities and parish share to raise in order to pay our clergy. Three churches take considerable effort and cost to maintain. Holy Cross Owlpen is a popular church for weddings. We run cheerful local events through the year to fundraise and also a summer holiday club and messy church on Saturdays for local children - all good fun.
Any practical and financial help you can give us will be most welcome.
