Welcome to St Martins Stamford Baron

We are a group of ordinary people who find in Jesus of Nazareth a purpose for our lives. Everyone is welcome to come and join us, whatever their stage in the journey of life and faith. "Come and see," as the Good News invites. 

The Church building is one of the five surviving mediaeval Churches in Stamford and lies to the south of the River Welland in an area settled by Anglo-Saxons in 918. It houses the tombs of the Cecil family including William Cecil, Lord High Treasurer to Elizabeth I. It also has some fine mediaeval stained glass windows. Burials include the Dutch painter William Wissing(1687) and Daniel Lambert (1809) in the detached part of the churchyard.
