Welcome to St George's
This Parish has not as yet registered with the Parish Giving Scheme and as such unfortunately you are not yet able to set up a direct debit or make a one-off gift to this Parish. If you would like to in the future, please 'Register your interest' and we will convey your interest onto the Parish.
An 11th century listed building in a beautiful rural setting on the banks of the River Adur. It is a lovely old church and a refuge from modern day stress and clamour, yet a living church with an active congregation worshipping weekly together in the tradition of the Book of Common Prayer (BCP). It has an eighteen-strong four-part choir and a pipe organ. Services are at 8am, 11am and an Evensong on the fourth Sunday of the month at 4pm in the winter and 6pm in the summer. A very warm welcome awaits you after the 11 o'clock service over refreshments at the back of the church. (see Services and Events for precise times and regularity of the different Sunday services).
The parish of West Grinstead: St George's is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Chichester's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
