St Laurence’s church is situated in the heart of the village of Scalby, 3 miles North West of Scarborough. The church is a grade 2* listed building, parts of which date from the 12th century. Our mission is to promote the gospel of Christ not only through our regular church services but by supporting local and overseas charities. We also take the message of Christ to local schools via “Open the Book” and maintain contact and interaction with local families and children (Sunday Supper, Messy Church and Little Steps) via our Families and Children’s worker. There is an active social committee organizing events to allow members of our congregation to interact with the wider community.
