St Luke's is at the centre of the village and dates from1755. There are many houses in the centre of the village but the parish has many outlying dwellings as well.

There are glorious views across the village to the south west of the Peaks, especially The Roaches, Ramshaw Rocks and  Tittesworth from the 'top of Morridge'.
