Welcome to the Parish of Rural Ainsty
We thank you for considering your giving to our flourishing Church.
Here are a few details about who and what we are:
Since 2016 we have found God calling us to be a Church based on growing relationships with one another and God. To that end we are flourishing and thriving Christian Community covering and serving villages to the west of York (Wighill, Healaugh, Catterton, Bilton-in-Ainsty, Bickerton, Hessay and Moor Monkton). However, we also welcome many people from across the UK. People join us in worship that is offered in our wonderful Church buildings in many varied forms and types of service.
We have Home fellowship groups meeting through the week to discuss aspects of Faith and share our lives. Why not join one of these groups, you will be made most welcome?
We are also a Church that puts a strong emphasis on prayer with many people joining together in daily weekday prayer.
If you would like more information please feel free to contact [email protected] or a Church warden.
The parish of Rural Ainsty is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of York's safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
