St James the Less is the parish church in the northern part of Lancing. The Parish of Lancing with Coombes share a Parish Priest and Assistant Curate with the Parish of South Lancing and Sompting and together we form the Chalksprings Group of Parishes. 

We are a friendly and welcoming congregation, committed to growing, sharing and serving the wider community. The church is the people of God, who worship in two beautiful and ancient buildings. We are the 'living stones' that make up the church: we worship together, pray together, have fun together, eat together, look after one another and work together for the good of the community and the building up of God's kingdom. We seek to be a church that lives out God's love for one another. We meet together to worship God and meet him in the Mass.

The parish of Lancing with Coombes is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer Pat Phillips (PSO).
