St Nicholas Hedsor is a rural parish which, although geographically quite large, is sparsely populated. There are only some 50 properties within the parish boundaries but on a typical Sunday our congregation averages about 20-30 adults. The majority of this regular congregation live just outside the parish boundaries, many of them in Wooburn, Bourne End and surrounding areas

Our church building is quite small but is situated in a peaceful spot with stunning views over the Thames Valley.   There has been a church on this site since the 12th century.  We are nourished today be the spiritual sensitivity to their enviroment of those who chose this place all those centuries ago as a place to encounter the divine.  The church building has a classic country church exterior belying the stunning Victorian Gothic interior. It was awarded two Architectural prizes for an extension built as part of a restoration carried out for the millennium.

We have a weekly service of Holy Communion at 9am on Sundays, to which children are welcome.

The congregation enjoys a sense of community and newcomers find themselves quickly absorbed into this gathering that is at the heart of St Nicholas, Hedsor.

The wonderful location and ambiance of the church makes it a favourite location for weddings.
