In 2019, we at St Richard's completed the exterior building works to repair the spire and re-roof the Church and halls. This was the main part of what we called Project Grow, which continued in early 2020 with major internal improvements, including new carpet, chairs and AV system. This work was only possible because of major local fund-raising, support from The Hampton Fund, many local Churches and the diocese, plus loans totalling £180,000. We paid off the £70,000 CAF loan in autumn 2021 and our priority now is to pay off our interest-free loans. These had reduced to £64,000 by the end of 2022.

This major refurbishment has now enabled the building to better serve the local community, our own Church family and the Church of the Living God - a Tamil Church that meets in our premises. We are now greatly encouraged to focus on our community mission by our vicar, Rev Debs Wignall.
