St Mary's and St Michael's ancient priory church offers a warm welcome to worshippers and visitors from near and far here at the heart of the friendly and beautiful village of Cartmel, just on the edge of the English Lake District.  All are welcome to join us at one of our regular weekly Sunday services, at our service of mediation on a Friday evening.  Please check our calendar of events for details of special services at Easter, Remembrance and Christmas and at other times of national celebration or mourning.  All are welcome including those who simply want to enjoy the quiet embrace offered by Cartmel Priory and to admire its ancient architecture. The church strives to keep its doors open 364 days of the year
